Frequently asked questions
Does ScalpForge place real orders?
Not in this deployment. Binance account verification is read-only and restricted to the app owner. Reliable real trading requires a persistent secured server-side bot engine and enforced exchange risk protections.
Does paper trading continue when I close the browser?
No. Paper execution samples Binance candles every 15 seconds while the workspace is open. Reloading pauses an existing session so you can review it before manually resuming.
Can I run any JavaScript or Python code?
The editor supports a bounded JS/Python-style rules language, not general-purpose execution. It supports selected indicators, comparisons and percentage-based sizing, with no imports, loops or network calls.
Where is my trading data saved?
When signed in, strategies, paper records, risk settings, journal notes and saved backtests are kept privately in the app’s built-in key-value store. Only theme preferences are saved on your device.
Do backtest profits predict future performance?
No. Backtests use assumptions about fills, liquidity, fees and slippage. They cannot guarantee real-world execution or profitability. Never trade money you cannot afford to lose.
